Thanksgiving Recap

,

A family Thanksgiving tradition: we host our daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren for breakfast, gift-giving, watching the Macy’s Parade and the dog show. We have the grandchildren open their Christmas gifts on Thanksgiving as on Christmas day at our daughter’s home, what with all the relatives there, it is a bit hectic or chaotic.

In Thanksgiving days past I have made Sushi, Mushroom Spinach Quiche, and Croque Monsieur Breakfast Casserole.

This year we enjoyed Potato, Broccoli, Ham Quiche. We began the tradition with a Prosecco, Chambord, Poire William cocktail. Sorry, I forgot to photograph it. It was delicious. The children enjoyed apple juice–not the cocktail!

The children enjoyed their gifts of clothes.

It’s always wonderful having the dogs in the home.

What I found so fascinating is how much the children loved the books they received: My Best Mathematical and Logic Puzzles and Super Interesting Facts For Smart Kids: 1272 Fun Facts About Science, Animals, Earth and Everything in Between.

Here is a photo of Susan and me with our grandchildren.

And here are the children with their parents.

Oh, and the day after Thanksgiving:
